The Coordinator of Navigate Content Administration and Integration coordinates EAB Navigate administration, integration, development, and maintenance.  The Coordinator aids in the intentional onboarding of students and identifying plans to accomplish students’ career and educational goals. This position provides direction, guidance, and leadership to the Advising & Testing team as well as institutional leadership to ensure wide institutional adoption and utilization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • One year of professional level experience in post-secondary or higher education student supporting role (i.e. academic advising, admissions counseling, testing, student retention, etc.).
  • One year of demonstrated experience effectively communicating and building rapport with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Understanding the challenges community college students face while onboarding into a college community and related retention strategies.
  • Experience with higher education technology platforms and ability to work with evolving technology to meet College needs.

Professional level experience is defined by the Colorado Division of Human Resources: A position that involves the exercise of discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, or sharing an organized body of knowledge.  Colorado revised statute (C.R.S. 24-50-135(1) allows colleges to exempt positions from the State Personnel Classified System that are determined to be professional level work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in post-secondary or higher education student affairs, post-secondary leadership, organizational management, psychology, education, educational psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with EAB Navigate or a similar student support technology system.
  • Experience working with Banner (INB and SSB) or a similar Student Information System.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Early Alert programs and Course Maps.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing presentations for faculty, staff, or students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with underrepresented student populations with efforts to close the achievement gap.
  • Two years of experience in post-secondary academic advising working with students on coursework selection and institutional onboarding.
  • Project management experience.

Salary range is firm $49,000.00 to $51,000.00 annual gross.  For full consideration, all application materials must be received by 4:00 p.m. on July 13, 2022.  Applications accepted until position is filled.

Essential Functions  

Training, Support, and Development 

  • Provides Navigate training to faculty and staff that supports advisee management, text and email communication through Navigate, data analysis and reports, and campaigns and Early Alert functions in synchronous and asynchronous modalities.
  • Serves as a straightforward and clear link to a central care network made up of number of distinct programs at PPCC that offer support for students that include (but are not limited to) Advising & Testing, Financial Aid, MVP, the Learning Commons, COSI, Career Services, Dakota Promise, Advantage Design, and TRiO.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the institution to ensure timely, up-to-date, and meaningful To-Do’s in student facing Navigate.
  • Troubleshoots Navigate errors with end users, submitting and managing Help Desk tickets as needed.
  • Evaluates updates and opportunities provided through EAB to include resource allocation respective of those opportunities, and the added value of those opportunities to PPCC operations including Navigate scheduling tools, and development and maintenance of all student-facing content within Navigate.
  • Develops regular reports and dashboard updates utilizing the analytics and reporting functionality within EAB administration.
  • Uses data and data-gathering functionality (polling, surveys, etc.) embedded in the platform to support relevant assessments including HLC outcomes-based assessment requirements.

Development of EAB Program Plan Templates

  • Works with cross-institutional stakeholders to identify and develop program plans in DegreeWorks and apply those program plans to the EAB Navigate platform for the purpose of efficient student registration.
  • Monitors plans and updates as new curricular elements are approved by developing a schedule for review of plans in coordination with Instructional Liaisons.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancement of the program plan system to provide for undeclared student plans and “specialized plans” of transfer to specific institutions.

Early Alert Processes through Navigate

  • Supports the EAB Early Alert technology for faculty and staff users in the Early Alert Platform.
  • Coordinates assessments and reporting analytics that informs users and institutional leadership of the effectiveness and efficacy of EAB Early Alert initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to provide equity based, culturally competent, efficient, and fair services.
  • Works effectively with college faculty, staff, and administrators in developing and maintaining collegial, trusting relationships for the efficient coordination of Navigate services with other college departments.
  • Creates an accountability system for the accuracy of information provided, the accuracy of documents processed, and for maintaining the highest standard of customer service.
  • Assists program directors and supporting staff in developing strategies to engage faculty, staff, and students.
  • Collaborates with other Navigate institutions advising policies, procedures, technology, and practices by actively participating on related committees keeping the college informed of best and promising practices.

  • Knowledge of college enrollment processes.
  • Knowledge of academic advising procedures and instructional programs.
  • Ability to design, implements, and monitor departmental goals and assessment activities as they relate to and support college strategic goals.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make appropriate, innovative, and responsible decisions.
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of the Advising & Testing team, as well as with the faculty, students, and staff of the college community in a collegial and professional manner.
  • Effective organization and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to inquiries from a diverse population of students, parents, staff, and the business community.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with state agencies and other educational institutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of EAB Navigate, Banner (INB and SSB), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of project management principals in order to manage multiple, competing, priorities and initiatives.
  • Ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed, and travel to multiple campuses and off campus locations.
