The Project Manager position is responsible for simultaneously managing multiple capital construction, controlled maintenance, and various remodel/renovation projects for the College. The position assists the Director of Facilities and appropriate College stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractually defined scopes and College quality standards while working around academic schedules. In addition, the position will have responsibility to oversee other project personnel and ensure the environmental interests of the College are being accommodated. The position also assists with furthering the College's sustainability goals, objectives, and initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, construction technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of construction management work experience.
- Three years of supervisory experience.
- Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, construction technology or related field.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Project Management Professional Certification.
- LEED Certification.
- Microsoft Visio experience.
- Working knowledge of estimating principles.
- Microsoft Project or similar experience.

- Receives direction on project priorities from the Director of Facilities. Responsible for managing project resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractually defined scope and College quality standards while working around academic schedules. Work with Facilities Staff on establishing procedures, techniques, and reports for monitoring budget cost controls to measure resources consumed, project status and milestones, and for comparing actual activity/measurements to project projections. Establish and manage project budgets through cost estimating relationships with contracted engineers, historical costs, estimating manuals, and contractor bids and proposal. Coordinate construction activities with the Director of Facilities or designee for the use of in-house labor and material services needed for the completion of campus remodel and renovation projects as appropriate. Simultaneously initiate, monitor, and follow-up on all College controlled maintenance, capital construction, and remodel/renovation projects as assigned. Read and interpret blueprints and determine practical solutions to project challenges/obstacles. Serve as a quality assurance evaluator to ensure appropriate construction standards are met and that projects are completed in accordance with applicable building codes and State of Colorado Office of the State Architect rules, regulations, guidelines, etc. Develop project scopes, determine appropriate method for accomplishment, and prepare project request packages for approval. Coordinate construction activities with affected departments and/or divisions. Serve as an internal cost estimator for College projects as needed. Solicit bid proposals from external vendors and/or contractors on projects as assigned. Provide preliminary cost estimate and completion time estimates, drawings, and specifications. Assist the Director of Facilities with the development of College sustainability goals, objectives, and initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date facilities blueprints, electronic files (AutoCAD drawings), drawings, campus maps, square footage, etc. Supervise student employees.
- Oversee the College’s Health and Safety program
- Assist with the preparation of documents for Capital Construction Requests, Controlled Maintenance Requests, and Facilities Audits for submittal to State Agencies, State Buildings and Colorado Community College System for the maintenance and improvement of College facilities as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
